For what purpose?
Between the ultra-compact 8-inch barrel version and a bulkier PCC, the Revo Arms AR9 Standard 12-inch strikes the perfect balance. This 9x19mm pistol carbine (PCC) retains the AR-15 platform and its ergonomics, but lengthens it just enough to gain smoothness and velocity without becoming cumbersome. Made in Italy by Revo Arms, a Forlì-based workshop specializing in dynamic competition shooting, it's aimed at IPSC PCC shooters, recreational target shooters at close and medium ranges, and anyone who wants to train intensively with affordable ammunition. Category B firearm.
The 12-inch cannon
This is what distinguishes this version. At 305 mm (12 inches), the barrel allows the 9x19 mm powder to burn more completely than a shorter barrel: the bullet exits faster, the trajectory flatters, and the energy available at the target increases, as does the consistency of each shot. The more complete combustion also reduces muzzle flash and muzzle noise. You gain in both comfort and accuracy at slightly longer distances, where the 8-inch version shows its limitations, without significantly increasing the overall weight.
Operation and power supply
The AR9 is a semi-automatic, blowback-operated pistol: one shot per trigger pull, automatic reloading. The magazine well accepts Glock-style magazines, a standard you likely already use with your 9mm pistol, allowing you to share magazines and ammunition at the range. The model comes with a 10-round magazine. The side-mounted, non-reciprocating charging handle and magazine release are ambidextrous, for comfortable two-handed shooting.
Features
The upper and lower receivers are machined from solid 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. The 12-inch barrel features multi-radial rifling and a custom-designed muzzle compensator to minimize muzzle rise. The long aluminum handguard is equipped with an M-LOK interface for attaching accessories to the front of the weapon (grip, hand stop, light), and a continuous Picatinny rail tops the upper receiver for mounting a red dot sight or scope. The five-position adjustable stock allows the overall length to be varied from 735 to 815 mm to suit your physique. The entire package weighs 3010 g, a weight that stabilizes aiming while maintaining the weapon's responsiveness between targets.
